Specifies safety and performance requirements for general purpose single-rate and multi-rate induction watthour meters with terminals arranged for the bottom connection or with contact blades arranged for the meter to plug-in to a socket conforming to AS 1284.4. Supersedes requirements for two-rate meters previously specified in AS 1284.3 – 1973.
